Somehow, O'Melveny manages to hire not only the smartest law students in
the country, but they also hire people with whom you'd want to be
friends. Regeardless of what other LA firms think, O'Melveny clearly
regards itself highly and there is never any comparison with other firms-
- simply, O'Melveny attorneys are the best and the brightest. The type
of assignments summers recieved were very interesting, which reflects
the interesting work in the firm more generally. Where else do you get
to represent Girls Gone Wild? People were genuinely laid back too.
True, they work a lot, but somehow manage to keep that secret to
themselves and not let it interfere with the firm's great culture. Most
partners were very nice and approachable. As always, there are a few
with less than stellar reputations, but they are the exception and not
the rule. For summer events, we went to Catalina Island, spent the
night at Big Bear, concerts, parties, etc. Every friday there is a
happy hour. Free parking for all attorneys.
