The work atmosphere and morale is very poor. Inexperienced people are
promoted over longer-term, better educated personnel under the guise
of "teamwork". In actuality, it's the sweet-talkers or good-looking
women who get the nod. The management actually prefers to hire from
the outside, rather than promoting from within, because they look upon
employees as cogs in a machine. And promoting from within would mean
that two people, rather than one, would be in a new position which is
perceived as a risk. It's very common in the company to retire in the
same position that you are first hired in.
