Expect all day interviews with your recruiter, HR and the operational
group. Patience is required. I came on as a contractor and after
deciding they wanted me the hiring process to 2-3 months. Although
this
has much improved.
Interviews are behavioral. Be prepared to do your job in the room.
The culture is business casual. I could get away with the Gap look but
as I tend to talk to VPs, I mirror their dress which is dress pants and
shirts. Only the most serious of meetings make it necessary to wear a
tie, but some take the time and trouble to tie one on, usually only the
lawyers.
The company is managed by a mix if business case, leadership
positioning
and gut necessity. Some decisions are made in crisis due to lack of
effective planning.
Any good hiring process will make you aware of this and see how you
react to this type of scenario in your work life.
