$59,000 annual salary, and increase of 5% since hired in 2001.
Total 4% cap on potential wage increase annually. Increases are
arbitrarily
determined by immediate supervisor. This is not a particularly good
sitution
since one's raises can be based as much on the department's budget and
supervisor's temperment as an individual employee's peformance.
There are two Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance pakages available.
One, an
HMO product, is no cost to employee and provides full health benefits as
long as
treatment is obtained within the Partner's Healthcare System network of
providers. Since this includes three of the best tertiary care hospitals
(MassGeneral, Brigham and Women's, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute)
this is an
excllent benefit. The cost of the second product, a PPO, has increased
drmatically in the past 3 years. But, it is still much lower than what is
offered
by most other employers.
Employer contributed retirement account begins in 3rd year of employment.
Employees are fully vested after 5 years.
