| Resource Specialist |
You start with a phone interview with the owner. If you don't call him
back asking for an in-person interview, he won't ask you back. He feels
that if you want it enough you'll call him.
In-person interview is initially with the owner and he has you do 3
personality questionnaires. He really wants the right culture fit and he
works with me on this, since I have a specialty in Personality
Assessments. If the questionnaire is very inconsistent, it looks bad for
you, b/c you are likely lying to try to get the job. He believes in
culture fit and having talent for the job.
After the personality questionnaire you meet with one or two recruiters
and the owner together and he drills you with some hypothetical
questions. He tries to stump you so you feel like you don't have a great
chance, but its just to get an idea how you do things. You're not
expected to have all the answers, but rather make informed decisions.
To close the deal you have to ask for the job and seem hungry to make
money and be creative about it.
