Job Title Workplace Survey
Store Sale Manager In nine years of retail working for companies from Hecht's to Ann Taylor I have never been payed so little and required to do so much. We were constantly remined that the word sales was in our job title so we needed be out there selling as well as tring to achieve the riduculous amounts of management tasks required each day. My position was as a salaried manager but I spent very little time doing management duties. I was lied to about everything from my paid time off to the number of hours I had to work each week. I was so over worked and stressed that I could barely make it in everyday and keep a happy face for my poor associates who put up with awful policies, a rude district manager, and very little benefits for an pitance of pay.. most at 6 to 6.50 hourly. There was no development plan and no bench strength.
