Job Title Interview Survey
Software Engineer I was first contacted via email with about 4-5 questions about myself, what kind of programming langauges I am fluent in, what my GPA was (NI pays a lot of attention on individual's GPA). Then I had a short phone conversation with the HR department and arranged for an on site interview. I was interviewed by 3 people in 3 different departments. They did ask some questions about myself, but most of the technical questions are pretty simple. I had to write a linked list class in C++ and explained what virtual functions are. And then explained what the differences between a struct and a class. Also some general compiler and memory usage questions. Differences between a stack and a heap, etc.
