Job Title Workplace Survey
Software Engineer The culture is really depending on the department you work for. National Instruments has grown very rapidly even when the market was not very optimistic. The company consists of a lot of smart people and it is quite hard to actually get an interview unless you know someone who works there. Like most high tech corporations, the dress code is casual and there are deck parties after work every time there is a reason for a party (usually every other week). Twice a year the company meeting is informative and entertaining. Advancement in the company is quite consistent and there are many people who work there for a very long time. The corporate culture is dynamic, full of young and energetic people who know how to have fun. Most people are happy with the company and the work environment.
