My current research has been focused on the structural and
functional analysis of proteins involved in membrane and protein
recycling within eukaryotic cells by transmission electron
microscopy, and by quantitative biochemical assays. Presently, I
am examining a 100 kDa protein called dynamin, which is believed
to be involved in the constriction of clathrin-coated pits and may
cause fission of clathrin-coated vesicles during receptor-mediated
endocytosis.
