Working at motorola has it's good points and bad. Lets start with the
good. The atmosphere is very free. Work hours tend to be very
flexible,people dont usually show up until 9 am. Depending on what
department you work for, most employees get issued a internal cell phone
that is used for your boss to heckle at you when ever he wants. The
perks of this is that you are generally all over the place, and dont
require to be at arms length of your boss. Motorola is a very diverse
company and with branches all over the world, you will undoubtedly be
immersed in diversity. As far a hours, you'll be likely to put a few
hours overtime to get some jobs finished before the end of the week.
Dress code is casual, some people even wear shorts and flip-flops (it is
florida) but I would not recommend that in the beginning. Advancement
depends on you, but as a whole, people at motorola make big bucks and
quick.
