As a rookie broker (read: financial advisor), my duties largely
consisted of arriving at 6:30 AM (PST)and copying various humorous
articles on a one page "daily" which I carried around to all the "FA"'s
and their various support staffs. Then, if I was not wanted to fill in
for a missing sales assitant to answer the phones, I folded and stuffed
envelopes for more senior "FA"'s for public seminar mailings. This
lasted for appx. eight(8)months , at which time I was sent to MS
training school in San Francisco with 265 others like myself. After two
weeks we returned to our office , met with the Branch Manager who told
us, "OK, you're back, now get out there and go get 'em!" Six (6) months
later, 80 souls of the 265(Class of 01/2002) were left... today it's
38.
