Job Title Interview Survey
Technical Recruiter The hiring process can be categorized as follows: 1. Telephone screening through an inhouse recruiter 2. Technical Screening by an assigned team leader or the manager via the telephone 2. Face to Face Interview (meeting with 3-4 interviewers on the interview loop) at a MS office, in my case it was at San Francisco office and I met with a total of 3 interviewers. The interview process was very intense, exhausting and was an all day "affair". Each interviewer took a specific skill to drill me on such as my collaboration skills; Integrity and Trustworthiness; Problem Solving Skills; Strategic Thinking Skills; Dealing with Ambiguity; Action Oriented Skills; Planning, Organizating and Coordinating Skills; Interpersonal Skills; Orgazinational Agility. I was asked the following questions and by the end of the day. I was exhausted, totally spent (smiles) but I got the job - Yippee!! 1. Why do I want to work for the company? 2. How do I stay abreast of technology/ 3. What do I think sets me apart from all others in my industry 4. Do I prefer to work independently or in a team? What are the advantages of working independently and in a team? 5. What do I feel are the most important traits or skills necessary to establish a relationship with a manager; partner; candidates. 6. Tell me about a time you saw an opportunity that required immediate action or the opportunity would be lost - What did you do? 7. What accomplishment am I the most proud of? 8. Tell me about the most difficult problem you had to solve this past year. Did you make this decision alone or did you engage others in the decision? Why did you approach it this way? What was the outcome? 9. What would you do if someone asked you to do something unethical? 10.Give me an example of a time when you were able to build a long-term relationship with another team that was mutually beneficial to your team? To the other team? To the larger organization or company?
