My sign on bonus was $8000. I am no longer employed by Merck. I sued the company for 15 counts of discrimination. Sexual harassment, harassment, age discrimination, sex discrimination, equal pay. I was the only woman on the team and the boys took all of my ideas , after winning numerous awards from outside company for technical articles I had written... so... after complaining to HR, in a 40 page letter, HR did nothing to help the situation. I sued the company. The biggest mistake of my life was working for Merck!
