I was never interviewed by her boss, the VP. I was hired by the director only to learn, once I accepted the position, that she was going on leave and that I'd report to someone else instead. This new director was a nightmare. Up to this point in my career I'd always gotten along with everyoneso I thought this would not be an issue. I was wrong, I was resented from day one. If you are interveiwed by anyone at Merck be sure you will be reporting to that same person. The culture does not support you otherwise. You WIL be on your ow.
