I interviewed three different times with Merck. I was offered a
position in my first interview and was unsure of my happiness at this
particular location, so I was able to travel to the territory and ride
along with representatives there. I decided not to take the position
due to the location, Merck was wonderful to continue to interview me
and
find a location for me. They wanted to keep me as an employee and
there
happened to be an opening in D.C. and took it. I interviewed with
Managers only, in the regional offices or a hotel. Interview
questions, "Tell me about a time when you were disappointed in your
performance, and the outcome." "You have to be a self-starter in this
job, give me a few examples in your life that show you are a self-
starter." "What will you do when you are unable to see a physician on
your call list?" "Tell me about a time where you had to motivate
others." "Give me an example of how you handled disagreement with
someone else you worked with or a team member." "You have no sales
experience, what makes you think you will be successful at sales?"
