Employee morale is terrible. Not many people liked their jobs. Things
were very political. Except for getting paid well, I would never
recommend taking a job there. The company never wanted to change, it
needed a reorganization to bring in new ideas and get the people to the
top that had them. As a woman, I would say that Merck's diversity is
terrible. They advertised for a diversity director 2 yrs ago, and
couldn't find one. The company is so political, anyone taking the job
would be setting themselves up for failure......I don't know how they
can advertise that they are a flexible place to work with good corporate
diversity......There are 9 cases of discrimination in Phila court for
Merck & Co and growing. So, you tell me, do you think Merck is a good
place to work? By the way, I was laid off after suing Merck, the boys
that did the discrimination , including my boss (mgr) and his boss
(director) all have jobs. My boss was even promoted to a director
position within the USHH IT area at Westpoint, PA. I just recently
heard he got laid off! Justice was served! I would never recommend
working for Merck!
