I first had an phone interview with Lenor Miller. At the time I was
living in Boston so we had a basic interview over the phone. Then I came
for a whole day visit about a week later. The day that worked best for
my schedule didn't for Lenor so she had me meet with the head of HR,
Shean Smith. I very pleasant interview with him in which we talked about
everything from the culture of the center, the transition of life from
Boston to NY to basic interview questions and discussion about the
position. After my meeting with him I had to head over to the main
hospital for 2 more interviews. Shean actually had a meeting at the main
hospital so instead of having me take the shuttle service he was kind
enough to let me tag along in the cab. I got to the hospital and met
with carrie Pfahl the Manager of the group that i would be working with.
Our meeting was long because we simple talked alot about my currnt
position, past position andthe position I was intervering for. After
that we both walked over to the director's office. During my meeting
with the director, linda stevenson, Carrie pfhal was also present. I
again talked about about my past positions and this new position which I
was looking to take on. Carrie also helped to let Linda know some
important details that I had told her. A week later i was notified that
they would like me to meet with Chairman who I would be working directly
with. After some scheduling issues, Chris aggreed to meet me at a
restaurant in Boston. We had aout an hour interview where he explained
the role of the coordinator and about computational biology. We also go
to know a little bit about each other.
It was a few days after that interview that I received a call from
Carrie Pfhal with the offer.
