Documentation Specialist Maximus, Inc was interesting. Corporate culture was a mix of mom & pop management with corporate politics. My tenure with "max-inc" was at the outset of the Internet boom and I was provided a lot of ability to work on variety of web design projects. They definitely have no problem with providing training for employees and, from what others said, they provide good bonues. On the negative side, the environment was TENSE. I worked on the same floor as the President, founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board (I likened him to Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys). He was a tyrant and brought an aura of anxiety whenever he was in the office. The dress code for men was shirt, jacket and tie EVERYDAY...even for programmers, while women got to wear (no lie) stretch pants and casual tops. Additionally, employees had to sign in EVERY DAY, so Sr. Management (i.e. Jerry Jones) could monitor comings and goings. Daily sign-in applied to work arrival, lunch departure and return, and finally departure at the conclusion of the day.
