Marriott International is a fantastic company to work for. It is a
company that is synonomous with high class hotels. I enjoy working at
Marriott immensely and plan on a career with them. Being a director of
sales is a challenge, but I live for sales. Marriott provides me with
the resources I need to be successful. I have not heard one bad thing
about this company nor have I experienced it. It is a fantastic
company. We have many accomodations with the hotel that make the job
easier. It is my job to contact companies and see what they need for
hotel accomodations in the area. I then will email them with the
information that they request stating our ammenities: Pool, fitness
center, complimentary continental breakfast,free highspeed internet,
30% larger rooms. My job is relatively easy, but there is a lot of
competition in the market. My market is actually saturated by hotels.
To be exact, we're talking 15 hotels within a mile radius of itself. I
love to sell so my job remains easy. There are not many people that
work at my hotel, about 10 of us. We are a tight bunch. Three
managers one being myself: the sales manager. There is also the
General Manager and the operations manager. No one is on a power trip
and no one really cares what goes on as long as work is being done...
