Corporate Culture: Fantastic corporate culture there is constantly
trying
to reward individuals for achievement and incent individuals through
gifts, prizes, or time off with pay. It is a family owned private
company (Steve Maritz is CEO) and because of that jobs are very secure.
That being said they, being in the travel industry, have come upon hard
times lately and have laid off several workers. The campus that houses
Maritz's 6 buildings is very nice and also includes two subsidized
dining rooms. The biggest detractor is the scale of compensation to all
but the top management. They are very tight with salary or bonus
compensation.
Dress Code: casual
Diversity: They strive to include an extreemly diverse workforce with
includes race and sexual orientations even in a very "non-progressive"
city like St. Louis.
Hours: Typical hours are 8 - 4:30/5:00. Upper management is typically 8-
6:00.
Advancement: There are many opportunities for advancement. I was there
for less than two years and I moved into 4 roles. The only problem is
that with each jump you may only get a very small increase in salary
>10%.
