Right became a juicy acquisition target in 2003 because of years of
stellar financial performance as a publicly traded firm. Right's
acquisition by Manpower in early 2004 was great news to Right
employees, as it grew the organizational consulting practice and added
big corporation resources to back up Right's existing operation.
Career transition, the company's main line of business, is notoriously
cyclical - but the organizational consulting practice is seeing steady
growth. The firm is strongly competitive in both career transition and
organization consulting, but whereas the career transition line of
business is well-established and part of a mature industry, the
organization consulting practice is growing by leaps and bounds both in
scope and sophistication. The Empower Group has added to the breadth
of services, which were already extensive.
