I think that MBNA will be around for a LONG time in the capacity of
industry leader. They HONESTLY value the relationship with the Customer
(notice the capital "C"). Their Customer service is outstanding. Their
credit cards offer an "affinity" which keeps Customers loyal even when
they are paying HIGH interest rates. They don't have "lay offs" but
instead use "redeployment", meaning you might be offered a job in
another area but at the same salary, etc. Well, that's better than
having no job. If they could get past some of the insane
corporate "culture" stuff, then it could be a very pleasant place to
make a career. ALSO, the offices (and not just the corporate offices)
are kept impeccable.
