Coporate culture at Lucent varies by business group. Lucent is
organized by market segments. Lucent's Integrated Network Solutions
(INS) group addresses wireline systems and includes optical networking,
and the Mobility Solutions Group addresses wireless. Both segments are
supported by Lucent's network services organization - Lucent Worldwide
Services (LWS). The general attitude in the finance department is good
and improving. Morale there
hasn't been hit as hard as other areas of the company. The treasury
group has recently won a number of industry awards for its system
implementation. There is truly a global focus for the finance
organization as Lucent tries to enter emerging markets while
streamlining and existing opeations for efficiency purposes. Lucent
promotes diversity and as such has an extremely
diverse working environment. Very casual dress code with business
causual Monday through Thursday and casual Fridays. Opportunities for
rotation and development.
