Principal Engineer My salary package is equitable for the job title and my skills. The salary is based on grade and time in grade. It is not appropriate for me to divulge that amount, however it is competitive for our type of work and our marketplace. I am ranked yearly based on both individual and team performance. The benefits are independant of salary and are uniform for all positions. There are choices of medical and dental plans as well as a 401k (which is matched to a certain percentage) and various group insurance plans (including accidental death and dismemberment). The company has a stock purchase plan available for those who want to own company stock outside of their 401k (the value of the purchase is discounted and can be bought bi-weekly through payroll deduction. Vacation time is accrued weekly (two weeks) with a third week awarded after five years of employment, a fourth week awarded after 15 years abd a fifth week awarded after twenty years of employment. Year end bonuses are not given, but special lunches and family outings are paid for instead to reward good work.
