I enjoy the diversity of my what I am asked to do. I have worked on new
designs as well as working with existing customers on repairs of older
systems. Although we have been through many owners and name changes
over the years, there is a sense of pride in doing a good job. We work
what is called a 9/80 work schedule, which means that in a two week
period 80 hours are worked in 9 days, leaving every other Friday off.
The dress code is casual business attire, except on Friday (which are a
dress down day). We have a very diverse work force consisting of not
only African-Americans, but also Asian-Americans, Latinos and
Caucasians. If you are willing to work hard and stay current there are
many opportunities for career advancement (not only can you be involved
in the design process, but you can also work in a manufacturing
environment and learn about Quality Control). I have been employed here
for 20 years and have enjoyed it. There are many who have been here
longer (the longest working employee has been here for 45 years).
