Kraft used a specific recruiter in Connecticut, which the reporting
manager (in finance) chose to use. HR was more laissez-faire in the
hiring process. I met with the recruiter first, he submitted my
resume, I was called to interview with 3 managers; the first I would
directly reporting to, the second also had an opening, and the third
for perspective. Many analysts get moved laterally and report to each
manager at some point. There were three levels of analysts in 1997/8.
I was called back for a second interview with the hiring manager
(turned out to be the other (similar) available position with the
second manager) and the director of the group, before being offered the
position.
