Although being a Realtor is touted as a self-employment position, this
is not exactly the case. As a Realtor for my company, we are still
bound by rules that one may associate with working for any corporate
business. We have specific dress codes (professional), and are
expected to produce a certain amount in order to have benefits such as
floor time, or to gain leads from corporate. The hours are as flexible
as one would wish; however, if one doesn't put in enough hours, one
will not make a very good living. As in any business, there are
favored employees who receive benefits that are not equally distributed.
