Case has done a great job of providing outstanding benefits and pay. As
a leader in the tractor-Agricultural business, they have cornered a
market where good weather is needed in order for farmers to purchase
more tractor trailors. Bad climate had forced them to merge with New
Holland Contruction, thus forming CNH. Final result was to outsource its
data center to IBM to keep from bankruptcy. IBM in return contracts its
positions to Kelly temp services to keep from giving additional
benefits. As a result i receive a 40 hour paycheck once a year for
vacation pay, and nothing else. No raises in the past 1 year and 10
months. A smaller company may weather the storm. But becuase there are
so many plants and not enough orders, the outlook appears bleak. A
company that appears to treat people decent is in an industry where
tractor trailors may not be all the rage in such a tough economy.
