I was first contacted by Paul Helm a recruiting agent at Helm
recruiting. Had a phone interview with him. He scheduled an interview
with my current employer. The first intervew went very well with
typical background questions and work ethic questions. The second
interview was at a coffe shop where the questions were more computer
related as well as work habits, why I was interested in switching
positions. A lot of questions about what I liked and disliked about my
last employer. This interview allowed me a lot more time to ask
questions about the corporate culture, environment... THis interview
lasted about 2 hours. The next interview was with a difffromerent agent
from that company. Total process took 3 weeks. My current employer
called and stated that it was a tough decision but he decided to go
with
someone else. (Apparently the other agent did not like me, however he
was in a hurry on a Friday night and didnt give me a chance). Around
June of this year I received a call from my employer stating that he
made a mistake and asked if I was still interested in meeting with
him.
We met for an interview where he gave me a DISK test (psychology test
standard with this company) to see if we were compatable. Then we
again
met at a coffee shop and discussed salary, position requirenments. I
again met with another agent in the firm. This time she was very
interested in meeting me and asked a lot of computer related questions
to make sure that I really knew Excel, Word, Internet, Outlook. I met
with my employer after this and was offered the job. I received a
written offer two days later. I have been working there ever since.
Really enjoying the experience so far.
