Please note that I work for a niche practice at KPMG (the Structured Finance
Group). We have a team in McLean, VA and another in LA/Orange County. Since we
are a niche practice, I'm not sure how comparable this information is to Audit.
As a first-year Director in the Structured Finance Group in McLean, VA, I
received a base salary of $98,000 with a bonus of $12,000 (based on my previous
year's performance). I was rated an exceptional performer.
Vacation time is ample (5 weeks for Managers and below, 6 weeks for Senior
Managers). We also receive 2 weeks of paternity leave. 401(K) is matched 25% of
first 6% contributed. Health, dental, vision are all offered. They're working
hard to try to make the benefits better and improve the work/life balance. So
far, it hasn't made much of a difference in my life, but they're trying.
