The culture was very informal. No diversity at this office. Women
that were hired did not stay very long. Hours were very long. Those
on salery were not required to work overtime but were instead given
goals that required overtime. We were always short handed as hiring
decisions seened to be made based on the area's manpower not the
individual branch. In a small office there was not much room for
advancement. Everyone had too many hats to wear which lead to a lot of
job burnout not found in the bigger offices. During times of too much
work we tended to sub out work but in some cases the quality of work
suffered. It seemed the structure and policies and proceedures and
work tools were better in larger offices where one person wore one hat.
The local office did not have much atonomy to do things their own way.
