Job Title Interview Survey
Investment Officer Entry-level hiring through on-campus business school recruitment at selected US and European business schools in the fall semester. If you pass the on-campus round, you come to DC for a day (usually in December) of group case study, a 3-member panel comprised of one director, two managers and an HR person, as well as 3-4 interviews with investment officers in various departments. Relatively little mid-career recruitment except in limited specialty areas (e.g., banking or insurance specialist, treasury, some lawyers) Multiple rounds of interviews within the hiring department as well as outside the department and with HR, depending on the position, may also be with HR. Very bad follow-up with candidates who are often not informed for weeks or months of IFC's decision on their candidacy. IFC loses a lot of good people that way.
