Imagine what would happen if your father left to find happiness with
another wife, and your mother, in a rush to find security, married the
first man who came knocking. And he turned out to be a jerk. Or a devil-
worshiper. Or just a major weenie with designs on your mother's bank
account.
With all the frenzy, you'd soon forget what normal was all about. Such
is life at the IAA, which has undergone so many tumultous changes since
the departure of Director-General Norman Vale in 2001 that no one quite
knows what will happen next.
It's safe to say it won't be pretty. Though the wicked stepfather has
walked away, the merry few left behind have to be wondering if their
heads are next to roll. Salaries and benefits have been cut, staff
members have been pushed out the door, and the worldwide membership is
dropping.

Diversity exists, but if you don't fit the mold, they'll make sure you
know it.
Hours are endless. Sell your soul. They own you.
Dress code is business casual, with party frocks for the big galas.
