Job Title Workplace Survey
Imaging Technologist Working environment is busy. Co-workers are generally nice. I think the clinical care in the larger hospitals of IHC is good to excellent but the rural and community hosptials have a less than adequate reputation for quality care. There are many layers to the corporate culture so changes are extremely slow in coming. I think this is one of the biggest detriments to the company. Slow-moving change gives an impression of inaction on important issues. The company talks about diversity but does not do a good job of managing it. It is just beginning to manage patient diversity in an adequate manner but is eons behind in regards to employee diversity and understanding the aspects of maximizing that diverstiy to keep excellent employees. Because of the many layers of management and slow-acting processes, there is a noticeable morale problem with front-line employees. One of the biggest problems I see is that IHC is a retroactive company instead of a proactive company. IHC has the potential to be a leader in the real sense (not just in the size or power sense) but unfortunately they are not good at internal criticism.
