It seems to be very good. The company is making many moves into
different aspects of the industry and keeps a close eye on emerging
technologies and its place in the pack.
Like I said if your new in the field IDT is a great place to learn the
ropes and get that experience you need to further your career. However
it seems like your chances of making decent money is like winning the
lottery - slim to none. But you do have many positives to being with
this company - but unfortunately at the end of the day, those positive
aspects do not pay your bills.
If you are considering joining the IDT workforce plase be ready for the
following:
1. The jewish faith in the company.
2. You will be overworked - but will have the opportunity for OT
3. If your not a go getter - dont expect to move up - remember that you
will see that if you do not adapt well to IDT your glass ceiling will
reach you quicker then expected.
4. You will learn alot at IDT and build your resume.
5. You will create great working relationships so do not burn your
bridges.
6. Hardwork pays off only if you make it pay off - document everything
you do and prove your worth. (Hopefully you get somewhere with it, some
do, most dont).
I hope that my brief details on the company help anyone that wants to
consider it for employment - I know the tone seems so negative and I do
apologize but it is part of the culture and very hard not to inform you
on it. My views are not being expressed with ill will towards the
company, only as the truth of some of the aspects of it. Yes there are
many good things about IDT but again, those good things for a hard
performing results oriented individual will get in the way of stellar
work and carrer growth in most cases.
