I work at IDG Direct which is an American owned company, that also
publishes Computerworld and PC World. IDG Direct is the leading company
in Denmark to procurementing Knowledge about IT.. We publish within 85
Countrys, and have over 100 Million Readers. My funcktion at the
company is alot of different things, but it allways have something to
do with a telephone. I call up companies to ask questions. I ask about
what Internet Service Provider they are using, about there
infrastrukture, what there current plans are, for buying New Computers,
Servers, How many employies there are etc. Other than that, we also
keep up with Updating our Database, to find out if there are any new
CIO??s or Marketingskoordinators, saleschiefs, etc: We also make direct
sales over the phone for for the magazine computerworld, but it is not
sale, that is done the most in the company. its more about mapping out
if they are International Business Partners with Example Microsoft, or
if they are IBM Business Partners.. It is not private we are calling,
it is only companies. It is a very nice place to work. There are no
dresscode, the atmosphere is very relaxing, we gather together every
friday for breakfast, before we go to work. Its not only Danish people
that work in IDG we have people from Norway Middle East. Its not a full
time job, the employees can only work 31.5 hour a week.
