We are headquartered in Saint Petersburg, FL, with about 4,500 total
employees across the US (about 3,500 work here in Saint Pete, with
about
2,000 here at any given time). A lot of the employees work in
fulfillment (packaging, shipment, returns, orders) and in the call
center (since we are open 24/7, and also run a sister company,
America's
Store). There are also a lot of women who work here (I'd say about 80%
women). The work-life balance here is great--I've never seen so many
people stumble in at about 9 or even 9:30 and leave promptly at 5:15-
5:30 pm. Basically, in my department, as long as you get your work
done, you're fine. Sometimes, you might have to come in during the
weekends or work late to get things done, but that's true anywhere.
Again, I can't stress how casual it is here; we often get to wear jeans
for a week, or for a month... Mondays (during the NFL season) we get to
wear jeans only if we wear a football clothing item (branded polo
shirt,
jersey, etc.), and every Friday (or day before a major holiday) we get
to wear jeans and a t-shirt.
