Manager It was a panel interview process; two panels five questions each, three managers on each panel (made up of store manager, district manager, and/or distict HR manager combinations). Each question is score 1 through 5 by the three on each panel. The store manager and district manager must approve you going to an interview. Interview question example 1: What have you done in a previous leadship role to foster a customer service environment? a.) provide a specific example/situation, b.) whaqt did you do?, c.) describe how you would foster a customer service environment as a manager. Interview question example 2: Tell me about a time when you saw that an established process, procedure, or way of doing things at work could be changed for the better; how did you respond? a.) what was the situation? b.) what happened as a result of your actions? Interview question example 3: Describe a situation when you helped someone develop new skills. a.) what was the situation? b.) what motivated you to help this person? c.) how did you help this person develop his/her skills? d.) what was the result of your effort? Interview question example 4: In a management role it is critical to ensure that your departments run smoothly. What are some things you'll do as a manager to monitor your departments and make sure they're as profitable as possible? Note: To score all five points on question 4 you must hit the following in your answer: Gain product knowledge; get to know employees in department;stay up-to-date on reports, policies and procedures; communicate often with supervisors and other employees to get their perspectives and suggestions; hold regular meetings to review company information; use to-do lists and follow-up on items; stay in touch with employees to see problems as they arise, leading to quicker solutions. Note: Most managers can not pass the interview process the first time without a lot of interview coaching and training, utilizing some of these questions.
