When I first started with Hollywood, it was fantastic. It was
entertainment by nature and it appeared that each member of the
organization was dedicated to the success of the company. We were
working a zillion hours a week and did not complain because we were a
part of something that inspired us. Then there were two senior
executives that brought in 2 new employment procedures. One executive
was the CAO and the other the SVP of HR. 1) When performing reviews we
were forced to place 20% of our department workforce into a ?Needs

Expectations review. Not give them a raise or bonus, and 2) Two times a

department. We were told that due to the ?at will? employment
agreement, we did not need to give reason for dismissal. That means
that 40 individuals are fired ?at will?, with no notice twice a year and
the head of HR leads the race. Some people received a raise and a good
review and a few months later were fired. While I no longer work at the
company I miss the days when we cared. One the fear of firing was put
into the organization it didn't matter what kind of incentive programs
were put in place, we just waited for another shoe to drop. To this day
I wonder how in the world anyone in HR could condone such activit
