Corporate Culture: butt kissing and favoritism
Diversity: yes they do which helps prevent people like me from moving
up since they hire right off the street rather than within in many
instances.
Hours: 40 hrs per week
Dress code: Business casual
Opportunities for advancement: a murky , hidden open
opportunities...Hewitt hires outside alot rather than within, check
Monster.com, also they advance AA's to Business Analyst roles rather
than someone from the phones who have alot more experience in the TBA
system and there seems to be a system of favoritism in place, if the
managers like you you move up if not you go nowhere, prepare to kiss
butts.
see below for my personal experiences
As a CSA all our lunch conversations always about how this ship(Hewitt)
is going down the drain. I have been with Hewitt over 3 yrs and when
the co. went public it all went down the toilet..first our projects
were going to India...next: no more project time..NICE: somehow we are
magically supposed to pull time out of our assses to get that work done
between calls...mgmnt goes you have plenty of time between calls? WHAT?
are you friggn crazy... we have been playing the Hewitt Home version of
the shell game... a clinet on another team is screaming they will leave
Hewitt so my team sends 3-4 peeps to that team...oh someone needs to
train PESOC peeps, well lets send one of our peeps to train them for 2
months..oh they need seasonal coaches, well look no further we have
extra people to spare...suddenly we are short staffed... and then you
guessed, it people get fed up and leave the co. we have peeps with
YEARS of experience leaving left and right only to be replaced by 10
dollars an hr ragamuffins from Adecco..some who cannot even speak
english that well. So where is engagement..it sure wasnt on Brad's
latest qtrly update...it was all about the Exult merger... what a waste
of money and time...instead of wasting IPO money buying insignificant
competitors how about giving raises to the peeps who have spent years
on the phones... stop hiring BA's off the streets who do not know what
a w/f is when you got half the orlando building applying for the
position... I have seen them make AA's BA's...it proves there are two
Hewitts.. the old guard and the new peeps and its true at Hewitt..its
who you know not what you know. In the end after countless 1/1's I have
learned not to say anything, but instead look for another job...because
ultimately what will hurt Hewitt the most is more experienced peeps
like me just leaving...Hewitt's quality will go further down the drain
and more clients will leave like BOA and Citigroup...I have a BA source
that told me of a "list" of clients who are ready to leave Hewitt..why?
upper level mgmnt refuses to staff the teams...refuses to have a
dedicated training unit to train new hires and the acceptance of any
bum off the streets to come in and take calls...they even have the
quality unit taking YSA calls 2 hours a day! Even BA's making callbacks
to YSA ppts because the CSA's are too busy taking call after call after
call...its a mess... the one thing Hewitt is good at is putting on a
good show for clients and shareholders, but those of us on the front
lines know better...you will get some who like Hewitt...those that do
not take calls like PM's and UM's the ones who sit on their assses all
day yappn or in meetings talking about their metrics and numbers
because oh didnt you know thats all they care about....they dont care
what you are doing so long as you schedule adherency is above 90% your
work time is below 30 secs...never mind the ppesp on my team with high
schedule adherency do little project work... so efficient....I could go
on and on the list is endless....but know this now is the time to get
out before they start sending even more work to India....work like
BA,PA and quality positions over there...get out while you can.. and if
you are on the outside stay out or at least dont take a job on the
phones.
