This company is one of the leaders in Human Resources Outsourcing. I
believe that they are going to have alot of stuggles and growing pains
in the next few years simply because they pay wages lower than others
in the same industry, they don't give adaquet compensation for raises,
they expect workers to put in alot of hours (generally with little
reward), the higher you move up in the company the more hours that you
are generally expected to work.
Their training is not adequete, because once you are put on your client
team you are asked to start working almost as if you have always know
how to work with Hewitt's proprietary software. The teams you are put
on are usually short of people (because of the amount of attrition) and
they are in a despirate need to get you to be able to work.
When I gave the company two weeks notice, they turned around and told
me I had two days to transition all my process and work over to the
other associates on my team (that knew nothing about what I did) and
they didn't have a "business need" for me anymore. This left my co-
workers in an unhappy state since they had to learn and take on all my
work + do theirs, especially because they gotten a crash course in my
work and processes. So I learned since they are not very courteous
about 2 weeks notice, that 2 weeks notice shouldn't be given at this
company (and they will openly admit that they do not require a 2 weeks
notice).
