I think the outlook is very good. We have a lot of change on the
horizon...but, as they say...change or die. Our business continues to
evolve as the marketplace changes both with client needs and competitor
capabilities.
Employees are both excited about changes and nervous about them at the
same time. Our engagement scores are at an all time low--but I think
associates need to go through an adjustment period. Expectations
for "what the firm should do for me" have been too high for some time.
We need to shift to more personal responsibility for engagement instead
of waiting for someone else to do it for us.
