Two years ago I received a call from a staffing agency, (I'll call
ACME). I met with "Susie", filled out paperwork, and did computer
testing. One week later I called Susie and left a message wondering if
there was any job openings for me. I never heard back from her.
Present day, 2 years later. I receive a call from "Ann" from the same
agency. She asks me about my job search and would I like to come in to
do some testing. I tell Ann that I was in ACME two years prior and met
with Susie and never heard back from her. I would only meet with Ann if
she had a specific job for me in mind. She said she did and we set up an
appointment for first thing Monday morning.
Unfortunately, my Grandmother passed away over the weekend and I was
leaving early Tuesday morning. I had a lot of last minute issues to take
care of Monday and I called Ann first thing and left her a message
stating what my situation was and I would call her first thing the
following Monday to reschedule.
As promised, I called Ann the next Monday and left her a message stating
I would like to set up a new appointment. She never returned my call. I
left her another message on Tuesday reiterating that I wanted to
reschedule. It has now been about a month and I have never heard back
from her. Not that I'm holding my breath waiting for her call, but
professional courtesy would be appreciated.
