Harris is a very employee friendly company. The major division in
Melbourne, FL works a 9/80 workweek giving us every other Friday off!!
Dress is business casual and jeans are accepted occasionally during the
week and on the work Friday. There is no timekeeper watching your entry
and exit from the facility-you are trusted to do your job and work your
time. Overtime is paid for exempt employees if you work at least 45
hours and are approved for OT. The plant shuts down for a week at
Christmas break. Salaries are on the low side for the finance
organization and merit increases are 3-4% per year. Generally a great
place to work!!
