Company has a good core business that generates consistent profits, but
is attached to a legacy system of general agents that impedes its
growth. Uses group business to continuously subsidize its individual
business, whose accountabilities relative to the group business are non
existent. Unless it truly seeks out stellar players from other
organizations, not castoffs from underperforming organizations, it will
lose its position as a preferred and reputable insurance carrier.
It needs to reward those willing to take risks instead of those that
have others do their work and take the credit while really contributing
nothing.
