Working for Goldmark can be quite unreasonable but fun at the same
time. There is no uniform as we are required to appeal to out target
customer group. We are not given enough shifts (at my store it can vary
between 8-13 hrs a week)and expected to perform miracles in the short
time we are there. There is only so much we can do with limited time
and man power and there is little sympathy when we try to explain this.
We are mystery shopped which i think is dispicable as it puts added
pressure on us to perform and we are already pressured to get an
unreasonable amount of work done. There are incentives though, and i
have recieved commission and prizes for my efforts. The pay isnt bad
either. There is definatley room for advancement through the ranks of
goldmark. You also have the option of changing position if your life
requires it. For example, if you are a manager and want to become a
casual due to pregnancy or something, the company allows that. There is
also a lot of training on offer.
