The higherarchy at Golden Corral has a "better thah thou" attitude and
seems to look down on all other employees or as they call
them "associates".
The hours expected of management are ridiculous 70+ per week. Their
response to that is that they pay their managers well. GC only gives
management 1 day off per week while other competitive restaurants givw
2.
Dress code for management was shirt and tie while competitors have gone
to polo shirts which is appropriate for the restaurant industry. One
has to fill in quite often and ruin numerous sets of clothes.
Opportunites for advancement were good - they offer a training program
that ground level employees can move up.
