Several interviews, talked to store manager, operations manager,
district manager, and several managers from other stores. This was
before a new store opening. When interviewing at an existing store,
you will be asked a series of general questions sent by the HR
department at the corporate headquarters (nothing too hard or weird).
You will also be given a questionaire to judge your knowledge of
various aspects of hunting, fishing, or camping. Management candidates
will be brought back for another series of HR questions. However, we
primarily based our hiring on the conversations that happened during
the interview. I used to look for people that liked to talk, because
most of the customers came in looking to share stories and hang out for
awhile.
