This is a mixed bag. There is too little communication between testing
and production and I found going directly to the TP to get changes was
far more effective than sending a request through Corp 1 and the
responsible groups who generally did absolutely nothing unless coerced
to do so by MVM, and even then 40% of the groups ignored the request.
Follow through on sales is lacking and at most times, I wonder if there
are any field engineers working with the dealers and fleets and most
say they had not seen or heard from the field engineers/liason in
months. This company is so typical of the Peter Principal of nearly
everyone is in a position clearly over their head, and no one seems to
care. It is really hard to believe Daimler Chrysler owns this company
which, with continued lack of controls, can easily slip back to the
jaws of bankruptcy. You cannot produce something this expensive with
so much competition in the market and ignore your customers' and
dealers' complaints and problems. It is amazing how the situation with
Swift got so out of hand and now everyone seems to ignore what FL is
going to do with the loss of Swift and other OTR companies who are
going to Volvo. From an outsider's point of view, it begs the question
of "Who is really minding the store?"
