First round of interviews is the phone interview. This interview lasted
roughly 30 minutes for me. At the end of that conversation, I was told
that they wanted to meet me in person. (they didn't have to call back
and tell me this later as they already had in mind what they wanted) The
second interview was longer. I met with a supervisor and a floor manager
to discuss my expectations for the position and my qualifications. I
specifically remember being asked what I could bring to the team. I
remember saying that though I had no experience specific to disability,
though I did with customer service and insurance, I was a dedicated
worker. I was asked to relate experiences I had had that were
particularly difficult in previous work environments and how I resolved
them. I was also asked how I had addressed the weaknesses I had
expressed. A particular question requested how I had handled
interpersonal relationships within an office environment if any. This
second interview followed with a series of tests. A written assessment
was performed lasting 30 minutes and a video related test of about 20
minutes. My third meeting with HR and the supervisor I would be working
under was mainly to answer any new questions, answer the details about
my expectations for advancement and compensation, and to agree to a
start date. It was quick and painless. Very friendly people. We left
each meeting laughing and having shared a personal tid-bit that helped
the process seem less formal and more informational.
